Operatic tenor

What can I say about Andrea Bocelli lol if you have not heard of him you’ve been living under a rock formation 😂. Operatic Tenor born in Lagatico Italy 63 years ago. Before he was born his parents where advised by their doctor to abort the baby because he was going to be born with disabilities and their decision to override the advice of the doctor was Andrea’s inspiration as to why he opposes abortion. He was born with glaucoma but at the age of 12 he was injured and hit in the eye in a football injury which caused a hemorrhage which caused complete blindness.

Enough backstory

He has been criticized by some operatic critics as not being a very good singer. They believe his tone is rasping, thin and very poorly supported voice. Thank God I’m not a critic lol, when I listen to Bocelli I drift off to paradise and a dreamy world filled with beauty. For a man who started out singing in piano bars he’s come a long way,

Celine Dion has been quoted as saying if God could sing he’d sound like Andrea Bocelli

With this all said here are few of my picks for just a very few of his beautiful renditions:my favorite probably is Ave Maria pietas with Aida Garifullina, Canto Della Terra, If Only with Dua Lipa etc I could go on but there are so many and this is just a short blog.
